About Play By Kane
Play By Kane is a photography project built around accessibility, trust, and lived experience — documenting sport, people, and real moments with honesty and intention.
I’m Kane, a visually impaired photographer, and my work is shaped by how I experience the world — through sound, movement, atmosphere, teamwork, and awareness of space. That perspective influences everything I shoot, from disability sport to portraits, weddings, and live events.
In sport, I work from the inside — understanding timing, rhythm, and when to anticipate rather than interrupt. In portraits and weddings, that same awareness allows me to read emotion, connection, and subtle in-between moments. I focus on authenticity over staging, presence over perfection.
Whether I’m documenting the intensity of competition, the intimacy of a wedding day, or creating thoughtful portrait work, I approach every environment with respect and adaptability. I understand when to step forward and when to step back. I know how to work alongside teams, couples, families, and organisers without disrupting what matters.
Accessibility isn’t an add-on to Play By Kane — it’s the foundation. From clear communication and flexible workflows to inclusive practices on set, every shoot is approached with inclusion in mind.
My aim is simple:
to create honest, powerful images that reflect skill, emotion, identity, and connection — as they truly are, not staged.
